Hey, I'm Dawson.
I'm a Software Engineer
I'm also a computer science student at Andrews University who loves learning new code and bringing ideas into reality. I recently finished an internship at Warner Bros. Discovery and now I'm going to take the skills I learned there and look for my next opportunity.
About.
Hey! I'm Dawson, if you haven't already gathered that by now. I started my coding journey as a computer science student at Andrews University. I specialize in full stack development, primarily TypeScript, React, NodeJS, and AWS, but love building with whatever tools are right for the job.
I recently finished an internship as a software engineer intern at Warner Bros. Discovery. Going through the whole software development life cycle, I built an internal tool that is being used to identify workflow failures and ultimately improve their development pipelines.
Outside of work, I love to play volleyball and film videos with my friends. These are my favorite passions that allow me to stay healthy and have a creative outlet 🎥
Currently I'm focused on making the most out of my internship and learning as much as I can from everyone around me. If you'd like to chat, exchange stories, or make a new friend, let's connect 🔗

Designed, scoped, and developed a tool that automates the collection and categorization of workflow failures. The tool is used to identify patterns in both expected and non-expected failures and help make the development pipelines at Warner Bros. Discovery more robust.
Automated the conversion of raw photos to DNG from the communication department's Google drive. Assisted in development of an internal tool used for managing camera equipment and returning metrics on when taken or returned.
Built dynamic UI routes and components for reusability across the website's pages. Created and implemented SSG componenets that improved page rendering.
